The Toledo Kennel Club is a not-for-profit organization of dog owners, breeders, performance enthusiasts and show exhibitors dedicated to the welfare and advancement of purebred dogs. It is chartered in the State of Ohio as a nonprofit corporation and operates under the Rules and Regulations of the American Kennel Club. It is a member of the American Kennel Club and participates in the governance of that body through an elected delegate.

The Toledo Kennel Club is a public service and educational resource for the community. It is committed to the promotion of responsible dog breeding and ownership, conducts training classes for dogs and owners, sponsors seminars, health clinics and other events, and holds Dog Shows and Matches under AKC rules.

Meeting events are scheduled for 6:30 PM. Programs or special activities, if any, will be first at 6:30 PM with the regular meeting to follow. Meetings are the 4th. Thursday of each month, except that there is no meeting in November, July, or August, and the December meeting is the 1st. Thursday.

NOTE: The fee for 6 week classes is $70.
Classes regularly offered:
Advanced (Novice) Obedience: usually Monday, 6:30 - 7:30 PM., 6 weeks.
usually Monday, 7:30- 8:30 PM., 6 weeks. (for April - May 2014, starts at 6:30 P.M.)
Beginners Obedience: usually Tuesday, 6:30 - 7:30 PM.
Agility: usually Wednesday, 6:00 - 7:00 PM. Beginners & Intermediate; Advanced, 7:15 - 8:30P.M., 6 weeks
Puppy Class: usually Thursday, 6:30 - 7:15 PM., $35, 3 weeks.
Conformation Classes: 
Tuesday, 7:45 - 8:45 PM. One night each, no enrollment.

2014 Class Schedule (starting September 8, 2014):
Novice (Advanced) Obedience class & Introduction to Open Obedience: 6 weeks, $70 for each dog.
Next classes start:
Monday, January 5, 2015, 6:30 P.M.
The class is a continuation of the skills taught in the Beginner's or Novice classes. Emphasis will be on improving performance of the exercises as well as introduction to off-lead work. This class is for the novice handler and/or novice dog with previous training. The class must have at least 3 but not more than 10 participants.

Rally classes: 6 weeks, $70 for each dog.
Next classes start:
Monday, January 5, 2015, 7:30 P.M. Beginners and Advanced.
Familiarization with Rally stations, courses and handling techniques. All levels. Dogs should have previous training in beginners Obedience. 

Beginners Obedience class: 6 weeks, $70 for each dog..
Next classes start::
Tuesday, January 6, 2015, 6:30 P.M.
The class covers the elements of dog obedience and training methods, and provides the basis for more advanced obedience.

Agility Classes:  6 weeks, $70 for each dog 
Next classes start:
Wednesday, January 7, 2015.

  Beginners and Intermediate: 6:00 P.M. Beginners : Fun with Agility / Introduction to obstacles

Socialization and puppy-level obedience training for puppies ages 3 mo. to 6 mo.

Home Obedience Classes: 6 weeks, $70 for each dog.
Designed for everyday life of your dog with a fun twist.

Conformation (Dog Showing) sessions- Show training for dogs and handlers  ($6 per handler each night). Classes are conducted in the same manner as a dog show, with all of the ring procedures normally used in shows including gaiting patterns and individual dog examination.
Tuesday, 7:45 - 8:45 P.M. $6 each night (TKC Members, $4), no advance enrollment.
If a previously scheduled class is canceled because of snow or other late developing problems, an announcement will appear on this web page.

Obedience Practice (no instructor): $6.00 each session ($4.00 TKC Membes). No practice on holidays or other special events; email to confirm.
